CLOSING submissions in Tesco s planning appeal against East Devon District Council's refusal were made on Tuesday, November 18.

CLOSING submissions in Tesco's planning appeal against East Devon District Council's refusal were made on Tuesday, November 18.

Inspector David Nicholson presided over the six-day hearing, which was held in the council chamber at Knowle, Sidmouth.

It had originally been scheduled to run for four days.

David Elvin QC represented the supermarket while the district council was represented by Adrian Trevelyan Thomas and consultant Matthew Morris.

Mr Nicholson will now consider the case and it is likely that his decision will be published in the New Year.
