Staff at Seaton’s Harbour Road Store get out the soap and sponges to aid The Carers Trust

They were offering an extra service at Seaton Co-op on Friday – a car wash.

Staff at the Harbour Road store were out with their buckets and sponges cleaning vehicles for £5 a go. They raised £300 for the supermarket’s chosen charity of the year - The Carers Trust.

Store manager Diane Hawker, who organised the event with Tracey McClellan, said: “It went very well, especially as we only advertised it in store.”

Helping Diane do the cleaning were staff members Lynsey Beardsell, Matthew Atkins, Tim Frost, James Gabb, Sharon Stone, Adam Hoare, Clare Rice, Steve Millman, Jim Wright and Dave Reed.
