Man pulled from the sea at Lyme Regis sparks rescue operation
A coastguard rescue team was called to Lyme Regis seafront yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon after fears a swimmer was in difficulty.
They were scrambled at aorund 3.30pm after reports of a member of the public being pulled from the water near the Bay Hotel.
Officers attended along with a unit from South West Ambulance but on arrival they found the man didn’t need hospital treatment and the coastguards assisted him back to his car.
