Coffee expert bids for barista title

A HONITON coffee maker will be taking part in the regional heat of a national barista competition next month.

A HONITON coffee maker will be taking part in the regional heat of a national barista competition next month.Charlotte Montgomery, 22, of Montgomery's Hotel, will be testing her skills against competitors from all over the UK at Westpoint on February 3 and 4."It's my first competition," said Charlotte, who started making coffee two years ago."The grinding of the coffee is most important, along with how you add milk."Charlotte's mum, Elaine, travelled all over Europe in search of good coffee before opening Montgomery's.Between now and the contest, Charlotte will be practising hard."The UK winner will go on to compete in the world championships in Atlanta," she said."I'm not expecting that, but I'll keep practising!
