BARCLAYS branch at Axminster hopes to create a huge stir in the 'world's biggest coffee morning today (September 24).

Employees will host the morning to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support and are inviting customers to join in the fun.

Area retail director at Barclays in Devon, Malcolm Bowen, said: "We're hoping that by simply holding a coffee morning we can make a real difference as every penny raised will be put to good use by Macmillan Cancer Support."

Barclays Community Investment Programme has pledged to match fund each pound raised through its employee volunteering scheme.

Last year two million people got together and raised a staggering £7.6 million. The charity used this money to provide much-needed support to people living with cancer.
