Branch contributed most cash to Tiverton and Honiton Conservative Association last year

Another successful year was outlined to members of Colyton and Colyford Conservatives at their recent AGM in Colyford Memorial Hall.

Cllr Helen Parr, Conservative County Council candidate for Seaton and Colyton, attended along with other members to hear about the activities of the branch during the past year.

Joy Sneath, branch treasurer and deputy chairman of the Tiverton and Honiton Association reported a successful year in fundraising. She revealed that of all the branches in the constituency theirs was the highest contributor to Association funds.

Simon Card, chairman, gave a very positive report about the branch activities throughout the year and confirmed that he was standing down from office having moved to Sidmouth at the end of 2016.

He said: “I have really enjoyed my time as chairman of the branch, it has been a privilege to work alongside the other officers, particularly Michael Gardiner and Joy Sneath, and local councillors to make this branch one of the most successful in the constituency.”

Cllr Parr thanked Simon for his contribution to the local Conservative activities on behalf of the branch.

Joy Sneath will take over as chairman while continuing in her role as treasurer.
