A group of year 11 students from Colyton Grammar School visited nursery Colyton Caterpillars to teach the children about various musical instruments.

The student music ambassadors, who were accompanied by music teacher Melanie Lester, encouraged the children to have a go at playing violins, flutes and others instruments.

The session culminated with a group rendition of Let it Go from Frozen, before the pre-schoolers performed songs in Spanish and French.

“It was great fun to be involved in and such a rewarding experience,” said horn player Grace Haskins, aged 15.

“I look forward to helping out again soon!”
