Colyton centre’s new clock gets a big tick
Racing green timepiece will grace the main elevation at the Reece Strawbridge Centre
A NEW clock got a big hand when it was officially unveiled at Colyton’s Reece Strawbridge Centre today (Friday).
The giant timepiece was specially commissioned by the trustees to grace the building’s main elevation.
It has been made by the Shire Clock Company in Derbyshire and is finished in racing green with gold hands and numerals.
The clock has been fully sponsored by Colyton Link as a memorial to their former chairman and founder Miss Pat Goate, who died in 2009.

Link members Pam Rattray and Wendy Cann were welcomed to the ceremony by Reece Strawbridge project chairman Paul Arnott.
He said: “We are delighted to be able to show Pat and Wendy the new clock at last. We hope it will be a valued timepiece for all users of the playing fields for many years to come. The trustees are immensely grateful to the help of Colyton Link in funding it.”
