THE chairman of Colyton Memorial Social Club says rumours that the club is in financial difficulties and is likely to close are completely untrue.

THE chairman of Colyton Memorial Social Club says rumours that the club is in financial difficulties and is likely to close are completely untrue.In a letter to the Herald, Derek House said: "I can categorically state that there is no foundation to this malicious rumour."The club is financially stable and offers members drinks at very competitive prices, snooker and pool tables, a jukebox, fruit machine, Sky television and live music." Mr House added: "I trust this is the end of the matter and that I can look forward to welcoming new and existing members to the premises over the coming year.
