Colyton firefighters were out with their buckets of water – for their annual fundraising car wash.
The crew was kept busy all morning and raised £282 for The Fire Fighters Charity. They also offered fire safety advice.
A spokeswoman for the team thanked all the people who popped by and helped to make it a very successful day.
She added: “If you missed out on a chance to talk to the firefighters, you can call 0800 0502999 for a free home safety check.”
Lee Howell, chief fire officer for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue, said: “Your donations will go towards helping thousands of men, women and children from the fire and rescue community during their times of need.”
