Students create their own Olympic torch.
Colyton Grammar School students got into the Olympic spirit by designing and making their very own celebratory torch.
Jack Harris, Harry Neve and Daniel Knapp with the help of two teachers spent several hours in the tool room at Pecorama learning how to engrave using a special laser cutting machine.
They used the machine to engrave local school names on the seven sides of the torch’s handle.
It is hoped the work will be completed before the end of the school term and when it is complete the torch will be passed around the schools involved.
