Donald Campbell is recognised for his outstanding conservation work
Well-known Axe Valley naturalist Donald Campbell has been awarded an MBE in the New Year’s Honours List.
It is in recognition of his services to conservation.
Mr Campbell is the president of the Axe Vale and District Conservation Society and was formerly chairman of the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Paying tribute to him a member of the society writes: “It is very well deserved. Donald has not only held all manner of posts for conservation organisations but is always out there too, leading walks, active at work parties, doing bird counts, writing books ……”
