Tallie sells nature-inspired art to raise money

Tallie Blanchard, a year 12 student at Colyton Grammar School, has completed a ‘Diamond’ Duke of Edinburgh Challenge.

Celebrating the scheme’s 60th anniversary it required young people to complete it and receive the diamond pin, and raise a minimum of £60 for the DofE charity.

16-year-old Tallie, from Northleigh, raised her money by drawing and selling her own nature inspired art. She also organised a lucky dip at the school’s summer fair.

When asked about the award, Tallie said: “It was a great experience. I encourage others to do take part in it, it’s well worth it!”
