Launch event is a sell-out
“A tremendous success” - that was the verdict of those behind Honiton Community Cinema’s launch event.
Held on Friday in the Mackarness Hall, it comprised a sell-out showing of the film ‘A Life in a Day’.
Complete with popcorn, tea, coffee, wine and cake, the hall was turned into a cinema for the evening.
It was 40 years ago that Honiton’s cinema closed and Marianne Harman and the group behind the community cinema are committed to bringing film nights back to the town.
The packed audience was given the opportunity to choose the next film on October 28.
Details of the film chosen will be announced soon.
