AXMINSTER police say the new community messaging service has been a great success.
The scheme aims to improve communication between residents and the police in a bid to prevent and detect crime and anti-social behaviour.
PCSO Amanda Jones said: "Once registration forms have been completed we will have over 3,000 residents signed up to the messaging system.
"If you have any doubts about joining the scheme, please contact us at the station where we will be happy to answer any questions about the scheme and how it works."

PCSO Jones and Sergeant Trudgeon thanked the parish magazine distributes, members of the public and local businesses who had helped to pass the forms out.
