Community orchard trip for Green Team

Young environmentalists from Honiton visited a community orchard last week, as part of their on-going work to promote environmentally friendly initiatives.

Young environmentalists from Honiton visited a community orchard last week, as part of their on-going work to promote environmentally friendly initiatives.Children from Littletown Primary School enjoyed a bee keeping demonstration before exploring the Fenny Bridges orchard, run by Otter Rotters. They also took the opportunity to see the Rotters' composting site.At school, the Green Team have been ensuring unnecessary lights are switched off and that teachers remember to turn off their computers when they are not being used.They have also been promoting recycling and told the Herald the overall aim of their voluntary work is to promote a "healthier world".
