A TOWN councillor wants to use cash from the public purse to create yet another open space in Honiton.Alf Boom, who is leading regeneration work at the Glen, has proposed a strip of land at East View be made the subject of a compulsory purchase order.He told Honiton Town Council's April meeting that the site is "derelict" but, with a bit of work, could make a pleasant new park.Councillor Boom said grant funding is available for such projects.The council has instructed town clerk Lyn Hargood to put the proposal on the agenda of a future meeting.
