COLYTON Grammar School will stay open despite two students being diagnosed with swine flu.

Head teacher Paul Evans confirmed a Year 11 and Year 12 student had 'very mild cases' of the virus but said it was 'business as usual'.

One student has already returned to school and the other is said to be recovering well.

Mr Evans, who has been following the advice Health Protection Agency, said: "It's business as usual but we are being vigilant. We are cleaning more and encouraging children to wash their hands more regularly.

"We are doing all we should be doing at this stage. The impact on the individuals has been thankfully relatively light."

He added if the situation were to change, along with the advice by HPA, they would take action.
