Healthy eating charity HALFF is running another popular Make and Munch course in Axminster.

With hands-on cooking practice, the team says it’s a perfect opportunity for mums, dads and carers with young children to learn new skills and pick up nutritional tips to help make diets healthier and lives in the kitchen easier.

So far the group has cooked a healthy version of fish and chips, and can’t wait for this month’s Christmas session, where as well as preparing a traditional Christmas roast - chicken not turkey though, as the session is limited to two hours - the group will cook a special HALFF recipe mincemeat tart.

HALFF’s nutritionist is on hand at each session to offer advice on a variety of topics, so if your little one is a fussy eater, you are confused about food labelling, or you would just like more advice about food and cooking for kids generally, this session is perfect for you.

It is completely free to attend and participants enjoy a sit-down lunch at the end of the session.

The group will meet again on Wednesday, December 14, from 10.30am to 12.30pm in the Masonic Hall, in South Street, Axminster.
