A SEATON town councillor has hit back at claims he lets his dogs foul in public areas. Peter Burrows responded to a letter published in The Herald last week, which accused him of not clearing up after his pets. Mr Burrows has questioned if the writer, a J Hunt, is a real person. He said: "In response to J Hunt, or whatever name they normally use, I am heartened that they are as concerned as I am about the state of our streets. "I hope they have taken the time to write to East Devon District Council and have complained about the fact that we have only one, yes one, dog warden for the whole of East Devon." He denied the accusations and advised people to contact the district council on (01395) 571517 or their local councillor if there was an area constantly being fouled. He added: "If this J Hunt owns a dog, perhaps the dog should keep him or her on a lead!
