MORE information is required before Honiton Town Council is willing to make a recommendation on plans for a two-storey extension to Westgate, in Parsonage Lane.Councillors expressed concern at a meeting last week that the property could have been the subject of a planning appeal in the past and that East Devon District Council's decision was upheld. They said they wanted details of the Planning Inspectorate's comments before considering a fresh application."This is in the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, I believe," said Councillor Roy Coombs.Former mayor Councillor Vernon Whitlock said: "If we've got any concern it would be about the size of the extension at an entrance to the town."The council is to ask East Devon District Council for an extension to the time limit imposed for comments.
