AS one vacancy on Honiton Town Council was filled by co-option at a meeting last week, two more vacancies arose - following the resignations of Richard Gaughan and Jill McNally. They had been a driving force behind research into Tesco's application for a new, larger store in Ottery Moor Lane and impressed campaigners and councillors alike with a presentation made a St Rita's Conference Centre last year.Mr Gaughan had a keen interest in finance and policy matters, while Ms McNally led the council's consultation over Boundary Committee proposals to change the shape of local government in Devon.
