Police were called shortly after 4.10pm to the crash at Miles Cross, near Brdiprot.

Four vehicles were involved and one woman had to be cut free from a car.

Vehicles reported to have been involved include a silver Volvo registered to a woman from Wimborne, a white Ford Focus registered to a company from Dorchester and a Volkswagen registered in Germany.

The road was closed in both directions between the Crown Roundabout and Miles Cross.
