Crews called to early morning car fire in Honiton

A car was severely damaged in an early morning fire in Honiton.

Investigations are still ongoing after crews from Honiton and Ottery St Mary were sent to a vehicle fire in Springfield Road, shortly before 1.10am on Saturday (August 24).

The crew extinguished the fire with the use of two breathing apparatus and one compressed air foam jet.

A fire service spokesman said the vehicle was 80 per cent damage due to the blaze and the cause of this incident was still being investigated.
