Crime detections 'good' in Axminster

AXMINSTER police reported there were 21 recorded crimes last month.

AXMINSTER police reported there were 21 recorded crimes last month.Neighbourhood beat manager PC Darren Herridge said there had been four actual bodily harm assaults, two cases of criminal damage, two incidents of criminal damage to a motor vehicle, and two thefts.He added that, out of the 21 crimes, eight had been detected - meaning they were dealt with.He said: "It's not that I like to talk figures, but the amount of crime we have and the amount of crime that has been detected is very good."This is mainly down to people who get involved and act as witnesses and tell us when crime is actually happening.
