TWENTY four crimes were reported in Axminster last month, compared to 34 for the same period last year.
TWENTY four crimes were reported in Axminster last month, compared to 34 for the same period last year.
Neighbourhood beat manager PC Darren Herridge said during the monthly council meeting that 11 of these crimes had been detected.
He said: "Many of these were excess alcohols and drink driving. It's a bit worrying but it's still quite encouraging because of the detection rate."
Reported crimes included: five criminal damages; eight thefts; two actual bodily harms; one common assault; three excess alcohols; one possession of a Class A drug; two burglaries; one disqualified driving and one false representation.
