Crime in Honiton town has fallen according to the latest police figures.
PCSO Steve Mingo told Honiton Town Council that for the period of July 15 to August 11 there were 32 recorded offences, compared to 53 recorded during the same period last year - a drop of 21.
There were three dwelling burglaries, which are currently under investigation.
Two of the incidents are believed to have been linked and were in the same street.
Also included in the figures was a non-dwelling burglary where teenagers were trespassing on school grounds, a motorbike theft from Lace Walk, which is being investigated by officers, and seven shop thefts - six of which involved the same offender. In addition to these there was one offence of production of cannabis, six incidents of criminal damage, four assaults, and two public order offences.
