CRIME in rural Seaton has more than halved this month, compared to the same time last year.
Police figures show crime in January this year is at the lowest since 2004, with 10 incidents reported. This compares to 21 incidents for January last year.
Pc Steve Speariett said; "Whilst we are very pleased with this figure, the Neighbourhood Team will continue to try and reduce crime further.
"It is particularly pleasing that criminal damage and anti-social behaviour has fallen in the Colyton area. This, we believe is a result of identifying a number of youth offenders from the area.
"We have been working closely with the families and will be carrying out restorative justice with the youths.
