Seaton town beat manager Pc Roy Hutter reported 12 crimes for January.

The incidents included three thefts of plant pots, and the offender was caught and dealt with - admitting it was a drunken prank; a public order offence outside the Grove night club; a drunk and disorderly incident; and an attempted burglary in Summersby Close, between January 21 and 23.

Pc Hutter said: "I am very pleased with the low crime figures for January. The neighbourhood team have worked extremely hard, altering our shifts and working on rest days to try to address the needs of the community."

He said residents were invited to discuss neighbourhood issues with officers on Saturday, March 20, from 10am to 2pm.
