THE expansion of a residential care home in Honiton could necessitate a pedestrian crossing nearby.That's the view of town councillors, who do not object, in principle, for plans to extend Honiton Manor Nursing Home, in Exeter Road. Proposals are to provide eight additional bedrooms, day rooms and ancillary accommodation.Members of Honiton Town Council's planning committee last week expressed concern that there is no pavement on one side of the road.They recommended highways officials examine the plan, with a view to recommending a pedestrian crossing be installed.
