Carnival queen and princesses are crowned by Councillor Steph Jones in the Jubilee Gardens

A large crowd gathered in Seaton’s Jubilee Gardens yesterday (Sunday) to welcome the town’s royal party.

This year’s carnival queen is 16-year-old Laura Fisher and her princesses are Louise Tyne and Poppie Tooze, both aged 10.

They were crowned by district councillor Stephanie Jones and will appear on their royal float for the first time during the illuminated procession on Saturday, August 31.

The girls will also represent Seaton at all the other parades on the East Devon carnival circuit.
