Cyclist, aged 24, killed in village tragedy

Rider declared dead at the scene after colliding with a house in Branscombe

A 24-year-old woman cyclist died when she collided with house in Branscombe on Saturday (August 3).

The accident happened at around 2.15pm on an unclassified road in the centre of the village.

The woman, from the Exeter area, was descending a hill into the centre of Branscombe from the Beer direction, when she crashed into the house. She sustained serious injuries and died at the scene.

The woman’s next of kin have been notified.
