"Get snapping," said the town mayor, Councillor Ron Jones. "It's a great idea."
Your pictures will form the main part of a 'time capsule' archive being organised by the Rotary Club of Axminster in conjunction with the Axminster Photographic Group and supported by the Midweek Herald.
The big day is 09/09/09, the ninth day of the ninth month of the ninth year of the century.
Rotarians hope you will go out with your digital cameras to take shots of street scenes, people going about their daily tasks, fashion of the day, buildings and shops familiar to us all, businesses at work . . . It is hoped that local societies, clubs, schools and businesses will also record their activities on that day.
The pictures will be placed on a DVD and the very best will be displayed on the cover. Go to www.Axminsteronline.com and download an entry form.
