Jim Knight retained his seat at Devon County Council in yesterday’s election, beating off a challenge from UKIP in the Seaton Coastal ward.
The Conservative incumbent polled 1,312 votes to Warwick Knowles’ 956, with Peter Burrows for the Liberal Democrats third and Labour’s Steven Williams in fourth.
