THE Mackarness Hall in Honiton was the venue of a youth arts event last weekend, featuring a showcase of local talent.Rock band Carnosis performed its debut gig at the event.Supported by Matt on drums, Billy and Sam on guitars and Joe playing bass, lead singer Cortz held centre stage with a captivating mix of mature authority and youthful defiance, according to audience member David Angel."It was loud, maybe even a little raw in parts, but unsurprising since this was the first ever gig by this Honiton-based band," he told the Herald.Budding DJs and artists were also very much part of the event.Picture spread in this week's Herald.
