A HONITON man is in hospital after being struck by a vehicle at a waste management depot in the town.The 58-year-old, who works for SITA, was injured at the company's Border Road site on April 21, a spokeswoman for SITA confirmed as your Herald went to press yesterday (Tuesday).The Health and Safety Executive has been informed of the incident.Nicola Dowlen, of SITA, said: "He was struck by a third party vehicle visiting the site, which was being reversed at low speed."He sustained a head injury and was taken to hospital, where he is under observation."Ms Dowlen added: "Health and safety is SITA UK's number one priority and we hope he will make a speedy recovery.
