Working Party are in full "nimby" mode with an hysterical view of the new proposed housing opposite Peacehaven. I agree strongly with the planning proposal - there are hundreds of people waiting on the social housing list. The development will create high standard, pleasant social housing for local people. Taking into account the size of developments in Seaton over the last 30 years, the impact is minimal. Certain residents are upset but the area is not even visible from most of the town, and from over the river it won't be noticed next to the already existing large estates. The alternatives stated are just not going to sort the problem out:-1 The Axe Riverside development is mostly flats and will not be not suitable for families and will be very expensive, probably ending up as second homes or investments. 2. The Tesco development faces huge problems and opposition and can't be relied on to even be developed.george johnson Castle HillSeaton
