Devon scenes go on display at Beer art exhibition

The Jubilee Artists Group based in Seaton are returning to Pecorama in Beer for a second year, and are exhibiting a varied collection of art at the Station Gallery from Friday, July 21 to Tuesday, July 25.

This is an exhibition by experienced local artists including paintings of Devon scenes, iconic portraits, contemporary abstracts, figurative sculpture, fine art ceramics, and fine art prints.

The group is passionate about its art and strives to improve access to art for everyone, not just those who ‘understand’ art, but importantly for those who say ‘art is not my thing’. This very diverse exhibition is sure to have something to interest most people.

At the exhibition you will see quality work by Bob Bradshaw, well established artist for his beautiful portrayal of the Jurassic Coast, Rich Webster with his iconic portraits and modern abstracts, John Buckley, often seen sketching the area has some delightful small oils depicting the local area and large acrylics with coastal themes, Annabel Glassby’s bold images of Devon, Rita Buckley known for her craft ceramics is showing her striking fine art ceramics, Anne Townsend with her modern interpretation of Devon scenes paintings and gallery torsos, Ian Flynn with his delicate yet striking flower sculptures and figurative sculptures, and Mervyn Hewish with his experienced varied artworks.

The exhibition is open daily from are 10am to 5pm.

Sunday, July 23 also marks PECO Garden Day, where ticket prices are reduced to only £7.50, with £6.25 of this going toward PECO’s two sponsored charities for the year – Parkinson’s UK and Step One (formerly St Loye’s Foundation).
