IN SPITE of near blizzard conditions in the Blackdown Hills, Chapel Cafe at Hemyock Baptist Church was able to open on Wednesday morning. The motto was 'where the village meets for coffee'.
"It was imperative that we did not let our regulars down," said Vivien Berkley, who with help from Maureen Anderson was able to serve the 'die hards' who made it to the church through deepening snow.
Our picture shows the conditions with from left to right Dominic Crocco, Frances Supple and Pastor Steven Reed.
