ABOUT Mr Greenslade's idea about one council for Devon... I would say No. This is not a good system for council taxpayers.As seen in the past, he does not like his decisions being questioned.For example, in 2001, he, together with the then chief constable, Mrs Wallis, increased the police part of the council tax by 18 per cent to pay for extra police on the streets. Where are they? Keep the status quo.The only good thing would be the disbanding of parish councils, like ours.R J ParkinLiberator Way Dunkeswell
