POLICE in Honiton issued four dispersal orders over the weekend, which banned individuals from returning to specified areas overnight.
The orders, issued under Section 27 of the Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006, followed concerns about alcohol-related anti-social behaviour in High Street and Northcote Lane.
"If the orders are breached, police immediately have the power of arrest," said Sergeant Martin Burrow.
"All four orders were issued at the first sign of trouble, early in the evening on Friday and Saturday.
"We are reassuring people we are dealing with problems."
Police can ban suspected troublemakers from specified areas for up to 48 hours using dispersal orders.
