THE reversal of a one-way traffic system in Silver Street, Honiton, could be a "minor solution" to traffic congestion in Dowell Street. That's what town councillors heard this week when former mayor Councillor Vernon Whitlock passed on traders' concerns about congestion at the junction of Lace Walk car park and Dowell Street, and the length of time it takes motorists to reach High Street. Councillor Sally Casson said the sequence of traffic lights in Dowell Street and High Street seems to have altered since the lights were vandalised. The issue had been raised at an open meeting of Honiton Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
