A DIVER who caught what could be the biggest crab in the country at Lyme Regis is now too frightened to eat it.Paul Worsley, who made the find while diving with Douglas Lanfear, who owns the Blue Turtle boat, said: "It's in the freezer. I'm scared to eat it as everyone is interested in the crab." The crab, which weighed around 17lbs, compared to the average 6lbs of most crabs, was caught near the wreck site of the warship Empress of India. Paul, who was diving nearby, captured the creature by hand.Mr Lanfear said that, while he would have preferred the crab to go in the aquariam at Lyme Regis, he respected the diver's choice."We were shocked by the find. The crab must be close to the record for the biggest one caught in the UK - it was huge," said Mr Lanfear."Unfortunately, the diver has taken it away with him to eat. "It will probably feed ten people."SHOULD Paul bite the bullet and eat the crab?Do you think he should have spared the crab and donated it to Lyme Regis Aquarium?Fill out a comment form on this website or email email@example.com
