DO-it-yourself allotments are about to appear in Honiton thanks to the enterprise of tenants living on a council estate.

DO-it-yourself allotments are about to appear in Honiton - thanks to the enterprise of tenants living on a council estate.According to deputy mayor Councillor Vivienne Ash, they have identified an un-used grassed area in their midst and are seeking the go-ahead to create allotments.She is all in favour of their endeavours and is keen to urge other people who know of sites, on estates or private land, to come forward with similar proposals.Honiton Town Council has agreed to offer half plot allotments on part of a site at the junction of Battishorne Way and Honiton Bottom Road.
