After reading the headlines from Wednesday, August 7, entitled Theft Anger, I feel the need to comment. Surely the local people can see the problem here, it is the summer season and our local police, who I think do a very good job, are clearly pushed to the limits, due to dealing with the millions of visitors to the west country and are expected to work with the same number of police staff. Perhaps, it would be more productive to take concerns to your local MP and ask for more police to be on duty during the summer months, rather than slate our hard working bobbies!
