A NEW campaign to stop East Devon motorists from throwing rubbish out of the car window has been launched.Drivers are being reminded of the problems that litter can cause as the Highways Agency's summer "Bag it! and Bin it!" campaign gets underway. They say litter is unsightly and a threat to the environment - and clearing it puts workers at risk and diverts resources away from road repairs. The Agency is distributing paper litter bags at events throughout the region this summer, and Graham Bowskill, Highways Agency regional director for the South West, said: "Everyone agrees roadside litter is unsightly, and clearing it up takes up valuable resources that could be used elsewhere. "East Devon is a beautiful region.
