Friendly group is keen to welcome new members
Axminster Rotary Club has a new president.
Peter Creek has handed on the chain of office to Don Waterhouse.
A spokesman for the club said: “It is always good to start a new Rotary year by welcoming new members. Axminster is pleased to meet and welcome new potential members in the greater Axminster area.
“We are an informal club where traditional Rotary values and good humour are the order of the day.

“It is very pleased to lend assistance to a number of local community activities with not only financial support, if appropriate, but also with organisational and manning support.” During the past 12 months its fundraising activities have included support for The Project, ELF, Devon Air Ambulance, and Hospiscare plus assisting with the Axe Vale Festival, Axminster Carnival, Light Up Axminster, The Cherry Fayre, the Yarty Party Festival and the organisation of a blood pressure day in the town.
