Double trouble for vandal-hit wall

AFTER contacting East Devon District Council to praise the workmanship of contractors employed to repair a wall in Jerrard Close, Honiton, the same council tenant later discovered the wall had been vandalised.

AFTER contacting East Devon District Council to praise the workmanship of contractors employed to repair a wall in Jerrard Close, Honiton, the same council tenant later discovered the wall had been vandalised.The pensioner told the Herald: "A portion of newly moulded coping on the wall was removed within hours of the job being completed."You could visibly make out where someone had gone along with their hand and pulled the coping out."If this is not a record for vandalism, I don't know what is."When the Herald arrived to take a photograph of the damage, a contractor had just finished repairing the vandalism.A few hours later, however, a vandal returned and un-did the man's work!
