Driver escapes uninjured after Axminster crash

Vehicle being recovered from the scene at Lyme Road

RUSH-HOUR traffic was delayed this morning (Thursday) after a single car accident in Lyme road, Axminster,

A silver Ford Fiesta apparently skidded on the wet surface as it neared the Lyme Road junction with the bypass at around 8.20am.

It is currently (9.30am) being recovered from the scene.

Despite some damage to the car police say the driver, the only occupant, escaped without injury.
