Driver freed from overturned car

Firefighters from Axminster and Colyton attend crash scene

Firefighters freed a motorist from an upturned car near Higher Wyke Farm, Axminster, at around 10.15pm last night (Monday).

Crews from Axminster and Colyton attended the incident and found one person trapped in the vehicle which had left the main road and come to rest on its roof.

They used hydraulic cutting equipment to release the casualty from the car.

The casualty was then handed to the ambulance service.
